Matthew 16:25-26 / Luke 9:24-25/ John 12:25
If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it.
But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life.
And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process?
I didn't benefit. I hurt myself.
I lost my soul.
My body was used for the pleasure of others and the demise of myself.
It hurt me too many times.
I didn't want to continue ruining my soul, yet I continued to.
Romans 7:14-15
For we know that the Law is spiritual but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.
For that which I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.
19. For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish.
20.But if I am doing the very thing I do not wish.
I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
Inside of my being there is a tendency towards sin in which I was born with. By Gods Grace we are saved from this sin if we believe in Jesus Christ. In order that we would be able to live in him. To be guided by his will.
25. Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.
It's time for change. I want to live for the Lord.
