Purity and Delusion.

None of us are pure. We are filled with delusions.

The dictionary defines delusion as an idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality or rational argument.
The Meditation Handbook says It's a mental factor that arises from inappropriate attention and functions to make the mind unpeaceful and uncontrolled. There are three main delusions: ignorance, desirous attachment, and anger. From these arise all the other delusions, such as jealousy, pride and deluded doubt.

The thing about delusions is that most of us have no idea that we are being controlled by them. We create false ideas about a situation. The way we want it to be is not the reality of what it is.

My Lady and I have been having many conversations about fantasies. The way that we create Fantasies about a person or a Job or any situation causes us to become upset. We become upset because we have attachment to our fantasy also.

We create this idea about how things "could" be and then when it doesn't turn out that way we are left upset.
I want to express that I think having fantasies are fun. It's nice to think something could go this way or that way and how nice it would be if they did. We must not however, create attachment towards that delusion.

So lets try to point out our delusions and attack them as they show up. We can tell them NO! Get out of here! They have no power over us unless we let them. Take power! Rebuke the Delusions. BE HAPPY! HAVE PEACE!
